Covid-19 update of the SPACES II Training Programme 11 May

Dear course applicants, dear colleagues,

As a joint decision taken by the SPACES II research projects, we have taken a difficult decision to cancel all (physical) training courses until the end of 2020. The decision was made considering the current travel and meeting restrictions in South Africa, Namibia and Germany, and the difficulty in predicting how the situation will change.

The cancelled courses will mainly be re-scheduled to 2021. Currently, the course leaders are also looking into the possibility of offering some courses in 2020 online or in a blended format. The first online course will take place in August.

If you have applied for a position in one of the summer/autumn courses, please wait to hear back from us. The application review and selection processes are conducted normally.

If you have been accepted for a rescheduled course, your place on the 2021 course is secured – we apologise for the inconvenience. Please be patient while your course organisers are trying to find a suitable new timing.

We apologise for the disturbances in the course programme, and will do our best to continue with the full programme from early 2021. Our team members are working from home and can be reached at ak-spaces@  thuenen.  de.

Stay well and safe,

Your SPACES II course organisers
